So part of the see saw that was yesterday was a trip to West Seattle to see a potential home. I have to come clean. I don't really live in Seattle. I live 10+ miles north in Lynnwood. Home of the Alderwood Lifestyle Center. It's nice, but a bit of a jaunt to get to the city. So we started looking. And found an amazing place in West Seattle. It's perfect. And we wanted it. So we left a deposit check and went to bed last night happy, knowing that we will move to perfect abode soon.
Then we woke up and had a bit of a let down. Seems that business shark Johnny and his wife hussy Sue were shown the place after us. They wanted it too. So they started a fucking bidding war. Luckily the woman who is handling the rental called us and gave us the option to up our rent. It wasn't much, so we did, and our credit rating took care of the rest. But it pissed me off. We're happy to get the place, but it's really tacky to throw money at something like this when you aren't in first place. Rot in hell, business shark Johnny and hussy Sue! I'm crushing your head! (that's a quote from Kids in the Hall, for those of you who think that my feeble grasp on sanity just slipped)

guys,
it's a renter's market, even in west seattle.
adding money to the rent, even if small is not called for. many places are giving away half a months rent free, move-in specials and the rest.
oh wait is it that stone castle i see across the sound? that place. well sure an extra $30 is no biggie.
Dude- wait until you see it. And we have a perfect view of the guy down below in his bathrobe. Let's just hope he keeps it on- he might wind up on the web otherwise!!! And $30 doesn't really bother us too bad- still within the budget.
