Ikea

We went to Ikea last night. I realized that we have convincingly given up. We will not be hipsters. We cannot buy inexpensive, but cool furniture of semi-shoddy construction. We just can't. It would get dirty and replace inexpensive, not-so-cool furniture of really good construction.

We can't be that cool. Just can't. I bought some plastic trays for my plants and some cache pots for my plants. Kenga bought a rug for the office. That's it for Ikea.

They're doing something to their parking- looks to be a right proper mess on the busy weekend.

Nope. We didn't even go to the food court area. It can be a traumatic experience being in Ikea- just too much to see, and too many milling hoards. Like the ancient Vikings of yore, they are! Arrrg.

They didn't run in Montana. Ikea has a touch of glamour in MT- it's seen as an outpost of design and cost-efficiency. But now that I live near one, the blush is off the rose, so to speak. We used to cram our car with as much Ikea crap as we could manage to pack inside. It was funny. Because then we moved here, and had to cram all of it back into a U-Haul.
