Between scrambling for jobs, I have been watching tons of 1930's situational comedies on Tivo. The only thing I'm really missing, is a sense of context. I really can't tell if these were considered A list or B list productions. The only litmus I have is that if the gowns were designed by Adrian, it's probably A list.
So I am in love with the young Robert Montgomery. And with Robert Taylor. And with William Powell. And Clark Gable- prior to GWTW.
Myrna Loy is wonderful. I'm glad to see a hometown girl do so very well.
