So Lx is going to this place, eh? And I remembered compulsively watching SCTV back in the day, eh? And I bought this album. And listened to it compulsively, eh? I'm sure my poor long-suffering father who had an office next to my bedroom thought long and hard about stealing it and using it for target practice. There are definitely times when I owe the man, big.

But hey, if you are heading north, don't forget your back bacon and a beer. Take off, eh!

Geddy Lee sings on that. Awesome! Yes, a roadtrip is coming up, starting Tuesday. Will be in Ottawa during Canada Day, and in Toronto a bit before that. I will not be saying "eh" however. I rather like my substitute: "yea, heh?"

i can't shake the eh.
i use it in place of "pardon?"
and "wouldn't you agree?"

i eXspecially love when a born and bred 3 year old American responds appropriately by repeating whatever i didn't hear the first time.

ha, i can attest to that. first time she ever heard the "eh??" she actually repeated what she said. you ought to hear her (new) English accent, courtesy of Mary Poppins.

My aunt, an American mind you, does the eh thing now. And says Aboot. She has lived in Alberta for over 40 years, so I guess it makes sense. A Mounty ran over her once with a van.
